Sweden : Thomas Schie Motorsport - FinnishThomas Schie was not happy with the Swedish Rally this weekend. He ended 14th with his Ford Focus WRC after struggling with lack of power in the engine during the whole event.
"We do not have the right engine program for
the FIA fuel that we use in World Rally," he explained. "We lost a lot of power, and I could feel this already on the shake down on Thursday."
"We were 2.5 seconds slower on shake down than last year, and most of the other drivers were three sec faster," Schie continued. "I hope we can have a new program for the engine before the Rally Norway next weekend."
Schie and his co-driver Goran Bergsten was in 14th position after Friday's stages. They were in 13th after Saturday, but lost 50 seconds and a position when they went off the road and stalled the engine in the first stage Sunday morning.
