Three events planned for 2007
Long-time JWRC manufacturer Suzuki has confirmed that it is to enter the World Rally Championship with its SX4 WRC car.
The Japanese manufacturer is however making a discreet entry this year with just three events planned. The SX4 WRC
will make its first appearance at the Rally of Finland, then Corsica and finally Rally Great Britain.
Suzuki Sport President Nobuhiro ‘Monster' Tajima confirmed that the new car will shortly be homologated. He also confirmed that the team will not take part in other rounds of WRC this year and that the Super 1600 programme will continue.
Suzuki will therefore compete in the three events and will not be eligible for manufacturers' points. The team has yet to announce who will pilot the SX4 WRC.
The new car is the work of Technical Manager Michel Nandan and Chief Designer Nino Frison.
