One of Aki's favourite rallies
Aki Teiskonen's has high hopes over the penultimate event of the PCWRC series. Rally Australia is one of his favourite rallies.
I've heard drivers complaining that you don't know where to drive there. You just have to dodge trees to
stay on the road because there are no ditches, explained Teiskonen. I think it's very enjoyable rally to drive. It's fast and challenging. Notes are made for staying on the route. I believe that rallies like Australia bring the best out of me.
At the moment Teiskonen is third in the PCWRC series, 11 points behind second place holder, Fumio Nutahara.
He names the Mitsubishi drivers, Jari-Matti Latvala and Toshi Arai as his toughest competitors.
Arai takes part in Australia for the 11th time.
My aim for the rest of the season is medal positions, which means I have to keep behind everybody down from the 4th place. Of course I must also keep an eye on Nutahara. If I manage to catch him, the season ending rally in New Zealand will be very exciting, concluded Teiskonen.
