2007 - 2008 WRC calendars confirmed
For 2007 and 2008
After a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) today in Barcelona, the WRC calendar for 2007 and 2008 has been confirmed.
Few changes were made to the original version of the 2007 calendar. Three new events will join the World Championship:
Ireland, Norway and Portugal, replacing Australia, Cyprus and Turkey.

A small change has been made for the dates of the Tour de Corse and Rally Catalunya but the rest of the schedule remains the same.

Rotation in 2008
The WMSC also unveiled the 2008 calendar. The events in Ireland, Portugal, Norway and Mexico will be removed from the 2008 WRC season in order to let other rallies a spot on the calendar.

Australia and Turkey will return on the calendar, along with the first-time entry of the Jordan Rally. A fourth rally will be chosen between Cyprus, Poland and South Africa. The FIA will evaluate the three events in 2007 and decide which one will take the final spot in 2008.
