From Neste Oil Rally Finland Välimäki seeks a place on the podium, because this event is going to show where his rally career is heading in the future.
”I with my co-driver Jarkko Kalliolepo are in that point in our rally career, that we can speak in terms "all or nothing". Because we need to know the reality, we have to make good result here in Finland. I think that I'm not going to have this kind of opportunity ever in the future again.
Therefore I have to show my skills and much more to make an impression,” told Jussi Välimäki who won two weeks ago an international Pirelli Rally with Mitsubishi Lancer WRC'05.
WRC Finland is known as the fastest gravel event of season. It is said, that if you make a success in Finland, you can success everywhere else. Therefore this rally is very appreciated event within team bosses and other decicion-making people. Jussi promises that his result won't be affected by the position of his throttle pad.
“Our rally strategy is clear and simple; For the forthcoming four rally days I must rally beyond my limits and keep the throttle position open at 100%. With this strategy I'm on podium or amusing my VIP-people in my big VIP-village on Saturday,” told Välimäki and continued, “There aren't much of choices anymore as I must rally harder than I've ever done before.”
WRC Finland starts on Thursday with super special stage at Killeri. The rally ends on Sunday. Jussi Välimäki rallies one of three Mitsubishi Lancer WRC'05 rally car and he rallies with number 18.
