Still backed by Pirelli but with a new team
Pirelli already confirmed that they will withdraw from the World Rally Championship at the end of the 2006 season. However, it won't stop the Italian tyre manufacturer from sponsoring Gianluigi Galli once again.
drive a Pirelli-backed Peugeot 307 WRC in Rally Finland but this time it won't be prepared by Bozian Racing. Instead, the Italian will join BSA, another team that has experience with the 307 WRC.
So far this season, Galli drove in two rallies at the wheel of the Mitsubishi Lancer WRC, Monte Carlo and Sweden.
He then switched to the 307 WRC and finished ninth in Corsica and third in Argentina, his best career WRC result.
