Stohl, Solberg & Chassis 31
Rally Argentina will be something of a milestone for Manfred Stohl as the event marks his 100th WRC start, his first coming way back in 1991 in the Ivory Coast. Just two other drivers currently active have reached the 100 start level - Marcus
Gronholm and Harri Rovanpera. His best result to date is second last year in Cyprus.Sebastien Loeb
is leading the championship by quite a margin and it is the task of rivals Markus Gronholm and Petter Solberg to try and haul in the Frenchman. Gronholm is hoping that Solberg and Mikko Hirvonen will be able to take points away from Loeb in the coming gravel events.
"There is no question he will be fast and we are looking forward to it," said Gronholm. "Also Petter, maybe he can help me a little bit - and Mikko as well.
It looks quite good. Now we go to gravel and I hope we can win something…”
As with any form of motorsport, winning is only possible if you have the best machinery at your finger-tips. Loeb's win in France in chassis 31 was the sixth with that particular machine and the second victory of the season.
