A new challenge ahead for Kimi Raikkonen
Hot on the heels of his second position in Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, Kimi Raikkonen
is busy this week preparing for his World Rally Championship in his home country of Finland.
“I can't wait to race at the Finland Rally,”
Raikkonen said before adding almost apologetically: “although I'm going there to have fun.”
The 2007 Formula One champion certainly enjoys his rallying and while he has a contract with Ferrari, has to ensure that his rally programme is perceived as a mere hobby.
“We had some very good tests with my Fiat Grande Punto Abarth S2000 and we're ready for racing.
I've got great experience in Formula One but not in rally driving, although I know a bit what it's about. Getting used to a new track in Formula One is quite easy, but in a rally the stages always change.”
Raikkonen will compete in the number 70 Punto alongside Kaj Lindstrom.
