Fighting viruses and readying for Argentina
Despite the good results recorded in Portugal, it has been a tough few weeks for Petter Solberg lately.
The Norwegian finished fourth at Rally Portugal despite dealing with two viruses fighting within his body; the latest
test results have arrived, indicating that he is finally getting better.
"I'm not 100% well yet, but now everything is under control and I'm feeling a lot better," Solberg informed.
"I have been well taken care of by my doctor, but still, it has been a tough few weeks," he admitted.
After a week's rest with his family, Solberg has now started preparations for Rally Argentina which takes place from April 23rd to 26th. Modifications to his privateer team's Citroen Xsara WRC are expected to bring a performance gain.
"With a new engine, Cyprus-dampers and a wider substructure I think we are well prepared for Argentina," Solberg said.
With four of the 12 events appearing on this season's World Rally Championship calendar completed, Petter Solberg stands fifth in the drivers' standings after three participations.
Next weekend the Petter Solberg World Rally Team heads for Cordoba and Rally Argentina to take on another challenge.
