Expecting the new Citroen to suit his styleZimbabwean rally driver Conrad Rautenbach will make the step up to a Citroen C4 WRC as the WRC heads to Mexico.
Rautenbach, the 2006 British Junior Champion and the reigning African Rally Champion has been campaigning a
Citroen Xsara so far this year, with mixed results. But following a successful test in the south of France last week the 23 year old is looking forward to his first gravel event of 2008 and his debut appearance in the new C4.
"I tested the C4 recently and immediately found a good feeling with the car, as it suits my driving style more," Rautenbach stated.
"It is quite a different animal to the Xsara but I am confident that a combination of a good setup and going to gravel, a surface I am more familiar with, will help me adjust to the new car.
"The world rally cars really are a step up from what I'm used to. There has been quite a lot to learn but I'm loving the experience."
Rautenbach, who is co-driven by Englishman David Senior, is planning to contest the full World Rally Championship with Citroen Sport Technology.
