Wales Rally GB organisers planning surprisesVisitors to this weekend's Rally Day at Chatsworth will have the opportunity to learn more about the Wales Rally GB and its Millennium Stadium special stage.
In addition to discovering the exciting plans for the Millennium
Stadium venue scheduled for the evening of Saturday 1 December, visitors will be able to pick up all the information they need about the 2007 WRC rally route, including the event's 75th anniversary celebrations.
It will also be possible to book tickets for all four days of Wales Rally GB, which will take place from 29 November – 2 December.
"The result of the last few World Rally Championship battles sees just 10 points separating current leader Marcus Grönholm and reigning champion
Sebastien Loeb, meaning that come the beginning of December, all eyes will be on the stages of the final round, Wales Rally GB," said WRGB boss Andrew Coe.
"Coupled with all the celebrations to mark the event's 75th anniversary, Wales Rally GB 2007 will be an important event in the calendar for every rally fan and we're delighted to be able to offer Chatsworth visitors great value tickets to watch what is increasingly looking like one of the closest World Championship finale in years," he added.
The Millennium Stadium stage in Cardiff's city centre first ran in 2005 when it was the first ever indoor World Rally Championship stage.
The stadium is also home to major sporting events, including Six Nations rugby and the FA Cup, so Wales Rally GB will transform the international landmark beyond all recognition with a purpose-built track that will replace the famous green playing field turf, turning the stadium into a unique challenge for world-class rally drivers.
"There is a host of new and exciting entertainment planned for the Millennium Stadium stage," explained Coe.
"But the focus of the evening is very much on the competitive challenge that this stage will present. We have a few surprises up our sleeves that will turn the Millennium Stadium into a spectacular winter night stage that really captures the essence of what British rallying is all about," he concluded.
