Along with the first winning carPhill Mills of the Subaru World Rally Team made a guest appearance alongside Gwyndaf Evans at the Wales Rally GB 2007 launch last week.
To mark the rally's 75th anniversary the event featured the winning car of the very first Rally
– a 1932 Lancaster.
Weighing in at a hefty 2.5 tonnes, the 18bhp car had a top speed of 40kph and was driven to victory by Col A. H. Loughborough... and four co-drivers!
Phil was impressed with the historic car, but preferred to stick with his Impreza WRC, which weighs considerably less and can reach speeds of 220kph on the same Welsh roads.
This year's Rally GB will start on the 30th November from a new base on the Swansea Waterfront.
