But the championship battle remains tightThe BP Ford team may lead the constructors' standings after five rounds of the WRC, but
Sebastien Loeb is on a roll for Citroen having won three straight events to add to his victory at the start of the season. Gronholm has taken
one win so far this year as he beat Loeb to the top spot in Sweden but despite Loeb's recent run of success, Gronholm trails the Frenchman by just three points.
"We were not maybe at the same pace as yesterday,” said Gronholm after crossing the line in second position in Argentina on Sunday. "Okay, in the morning we were trying but I was not quick enough on the first stage and then the fight was over. So we were just trying to finish."
"I would be lying if I said I'm not disappointed because I am.
It's now the fourth time I have finished second to him…”
For Loeb and the Citroen squad, there is no such thing as an easy win and the championship battle remains wide open.
"At the moment every score is important," Loeb began. "We did have one point advantage, now it's three. The scoring is very tight so if you can't win, second is not too bad because it's only two point difference. Now I have four victories and Marcus has one and we have only a three-point lead.”
“But we have confidence for the future because the car seems to be good everywhere," Loeb concluded.
