New challengeMichal Hrabanek has been appointed Head of Skoda Auto Motor Sport Department. Dr. Martin Muehlmeier, his predecessor, is returning to Audi after three years spent at this post.
The 38-year-old Michal Hrabánek has previously worked in Skoda Auto's technical
development and, over the last four years, in sales and marketing.
As Head of the Motor Sport Department, he is going to report directly to Dr. Eckhard Scholz,
Skoda Auto BOD Member for Technical Development.
Hrabánek's main task will involve development operations on the new
Fabia Super 2000, a rally car the concept of which Skoda Auto presented at the recent Geneva Motor Show.
At the same time, Michal Hrabánek has become responsible for preparing Motor Sport of Skoda Auto strategy for the future.
"With over a hundred years of motor sport activities, it is an important part of Skoda's history. Ensuring successful continuity is a great challenge for me, as well as all of my colleagues. We have a lot of work to do," said Michal Hrabánek.
