Budget problems...Gigi Galli has come to the conclusion that he cannot be an active driver in next month's Rally Argentina, scheduled for 4, 5 and 6 May.
One of Galli's sponsors has decided not to participate in the event, the resulting budget constraints thereby
forcing the Milan-born driver to pull his name off the entry list less than three weeks before the start.
It seems however that he has maintained plans to make the trip to Argentina in order to participate in the recce for all stages.
Due to his special driving style and personal charisma, Galli has become one of The drivers Cordoba fans most admire.
He had programmed an 8-event schedule this year in the World Rally Championship aboard a Citroën Xsara WRC serviced by the Aimont Racing Team.
This would have been Galli's fourth time in Rally Argentina. In 2004 and 2005 he drove a Mitsubishi Lancer, while last year he surprised everyone with a third position overall at the wheel of a Peugeot 307 WRC.
