More then 70 registered motorbikes
The increasing success of the Pharaons Rally - considered by all the most complete rally after the Dakar – translated in the registration of more than seventy motorbikes and quads, a really high quantity in comparison with the races of World Championship that precede the Pharaons.
At the start there will be the winner of the last edition, as well as the last Dakar, Catalan Marc Coma.
His main antagonists will be Frenchman David Casteu, the other Catalan Jordi Viladoms and Chilean driver Carlo De Gavardo.
Jutta Kleinschmidt and BMW at the Pharaons
Jutta Kleinschmidt will be joining Team BMW X-Raid. With 16 Dakar starts to her credit, first on motorbike and then by car and the wonderful win obtained in 2001, are the exceptional curriculum of the German pilot called to a new adventure in the team managed by Sven Quandt.
The team has chosen the Pharaons Rally for the debut of Jutta in the new BMW X3CC, the ideal ground to prepare for the Dakar 2007. Together with Jutta, three other BMW drivers will be in action: Guerlain Chicherit, Josè Luis Monterde and Paulo Nobre.
