Fiat Yamaha Team new-recruit Jorge Lorenzo proved his Qatar podium was no fluke by taking third in his home Grand Prix at Jerez today.

A bitter disappointment for the Texas Tornado
Having claimed his second consecutive front row start yesterday, Colin Edwards had a disappointing afternoon, crashing out of sixth on lap five at the Curva Sito Pons.
