Mike wants to “return to action as soon as possible”French rider Mike di Meglio expects to return to action at the Grand Prix of Turkey later this month, having undergone an operation on his collarbone last week.
Di Meglio suffered the injury in a heavy crash during
the second 125cc qualifying session for the Gran Premio bwin.com de Espana, damaging a plate put in after his 2006 season-ending crash in Portugal.
He was unable to participate in the Spanish race itself as a result of the injury, and was operated on in his home country to replace the plate.
“The operation went well, and the doctors will tell me in the next few days if I can ride at Istanbul or not. I strongly hope that they will give me the all-clear”, commented the Team Scot rider, who took his first Grand Prix victory at the Turkish track in 2005.
“To be honest, I don't remember anything about the crash. It's one of the risks that you take in this sport.
The essential thing now is to return to action as soon as possible”, added the Frenchman.
