Cocchi will today begin treatment on the numerous facial fractures that Locatelli suffered on Saturday.
On Monday evening, the Italian was brought out of the pharmacologically induced coma that he had been placed in since his admission to hospital, after a second CAT scan ruled out the possibility of brain damage. Yesterday morning the development of a lung contusion was also tested.
Locatelli suffered a serious accident during the final minutes of last Saturday's 250cc free practice session, with a violent impact into the protective barriers producing serious facial injuries and displaced open fractures of his left ankle and collarbone.
The latter injuries were operated on during Saturday night.
