Better weather conditions but mechanical problemsAfter Thursday's debut in the wet, the 2-stroke Honda LCR rider Eugene Laverty and his staff faced the second and last day of test at Circuit de Catalunya.
Due to the adverse weather conditions Laverty was able to ride
only 15 laps on Thursday but yesterday the quarter litres Honda LCR rider and his competitors, put more miles on the bikes. Laverty went about his business for 45 laps gathering useful data for the set up of his Honda RS250 Kit no. 50.
"Today the weather conditions were better and I got the chance to put more miles on the new bike," said Eugene Laverty. "I rode 45 laps but there's still a lot of work to do to find out the right direction. I came in many times because I struggled with the engine and the team is working hard to find the solution soon. This is a fast track and I enjoyed lapping on the 250 bike."
Eugene and his staff will proceed the pre season tests at Valencia track next 12 and 13 of February.
"I am looking forward to riding again soon," he concluded.
