Pablo Nieto reverts to 125cc
Feeling he'll have a better chance
Pablo Nieto has had a change of heart about moving up to 250cc this season and has reached an agreement with Blusens Aprilia to return to 125cc.

The Spanish rider took the decision after a number of tests on the quarter litre Aprilia.

“After my first few rides on the 250cc, and thinking the decision over, I think that a 250cc kit bike would have made it a difficult season for me to place in the points”, commented Nieto.

“I have a lot of experience in 125cc, and I'm sure that we can get good parts and fight at the top of the table. I was already thinking about staying another year in 125cc but couldn't find a team that was to my liking. I wanted to ride for BQR ( the previous incarnation of Blusens Aprilia), but I didn't know that they were making the switch to Aprilia this season so, after looking at the possibilities, I noted that a year riding with Blusens Aprilia in 125cc was a good combination for me.”

Nieto's move will not affect any of the team's other line-ups, with Aleix Espargaro their sole 250cc rider and Hugo van den Berg staying in 125cc.

Blusens will also be the chief sponsor of Blusens Aprilia Germany, who will run Arturo Tizon under the guidance of Dieter Stappert.
