Ellison and Guintoli candidates to be the second riderTeam Yamaha France SBK have almost finalised their plans for next season's SBK World Championship. For a start the team will be entering only two bikes instead of three.
The only rider whose place has been confirmed
so far is Shinichi Nakatomi. Norick Abe will be returning to Japan while Sébastien Gimbert has joined Team GMT '94 to ride in Supersport alongside David Checa.
Two riders have already emerged as possible candidates: one is Frenchman Sylvain Guintoli who rode in the world 250 GP this year and the second is James Ellison from the UK, who rode for Team Yamaha Tech3 in MotoGP.
