After the Althea Honda Team and Tommy Hill parted ways earlier in the year one of their Supersport riders, Matthieu Lagrive, was drafted into the ride, simply because he had great experience of World Endurance machines.
After four points scoring rides in six attempts Lagrive
is now 19th in the championship. He and the team made great strides in terms of repeatable set-up in the recent Imola tests, and that knowledge took them to ninth in race one, and - after a poor start to race two - 14th in race two.
The French rider said of his Sunday experiences, "I'm very happy for my today's races results but I'm just a little disappointed only because of my two bad starts. I'm sure with a better starts I would be able to reach the front group of riders because my bike was very good today and I could have run fast times all the way through.”
“In the second race my start was so bad that I had to overtake seven or eight riders in the first lap. Anyway I'm happy because today I was able to collect some good points for my championship standing. My bike set up has significantly improved due to the good solution we found during Imola testing. I want to thank all the technicians of my team for their great job. We must continue to work on the bike setting to be able to reach better results."
