“These two days have been very productive”The second and final evening of MotoGP floodlit test at Losail circuit ended with LCR Honda MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet in third position on the timesheets with a 1'54.973 best lap time.
Continuing his positive learning
process aboard the Michelin-shod Honda RC212V the Frenchman was again on of the most impressive performers at the desert circuit.
Just 0.421s behind Lorenzo (today's frontrunner) Randy improved his yesterdays lap time of nearly two seconds enjoying the Honda-Michelin package at his disposal. The 27-year old completed a marathon 91-laps working with Michelin on race tyres testing and boosting his confidence ahead of the first race of the season at Losail on the 9th of March.
“These two days have been very productive for me and the whole Team”, he explained. “Basically we did not make any important change in the base set-up and we focused on race tyres to get the right pace for the race. Today the feeling with the bike was even better than yesterday and I like to ride in these conditions. We worked specifically on rear and front tyres making many consistent and fast lap times on race tyres. I think we got the right package to make a positive first race next week and I want to thank the LCR squad, HRC and Michelin for their efforts during the winter test period”.
