Second 250cc victory for Kallio as season ends
Valencia : 250cc race
The 250cc race at the Gran Premio bwin.com de la Comunitat Valenciana concluded with Red Bull KTM's Mika Kallio on the top step of the podium as he took the second victory of his rookie quarter litre class season.

Alex de Angelis (Master Mapfre
Aspar) crossed the line just 0.371s behind the Finnish race winner in second place for his eighth podium of the year, having looked well in contention to break his 2007 victory duck throughout the race.

The man who will permanently replace MotoGP-bound double World Champion Jorge Lorenzo at Aprilia next season in the 250cc class, Alex Debon, took the final podium position, while Lorenzo himself was seventh - apparently suffering from an engine fault.

Alvaro Bautista (Master Mapfre Aspar) was unlucky to crash out when in second place with seven laps to go, while Andrea Dovizioso (Kopron Team Scot) rode solidly to fourth from tenth on the grid – with the top five completed by Hector Barbera (Team Toth).

Julian Simon (Repsol Honda), Lorenzo, Yuki Takahashi (Kopron Team Scot), Thomas Luthi (Emmi - Caffe Latte Aprilia) and Hiroshi Aoyama (Red Bull KTM) rounded off the top ten.
