In a one year dealSylvain Guintoli has today been confirmed as a Pramac d'Antin Ducati rider for next season in a one year deal.
The 25 year-old French rider moves from the Dunlop Yamaha Tech 3 team with which he has contested his rookie season.
Previously
involved in the 250cc World Championship after his debut in 2000, Guintoli had his first experience of a MotoGP bike when he began testing for Tech 3 in 2003 alongside his quarter litre commitments. This year he has impressed with a number of strong performances on the Dunlop-shod M1, and even lead his home race at Le Mans earlier in the season.
Guintoli's arrival in the Ducati satellite outfit means that there is only one space left to fill for Luis d'Antin. Current riders Alex Barros and Alex Hofmann have yet to announce their plans for 2008.
