Stoner concludes Brno visit
At head of the field
MotoGP World Championship leader Casey Stoner concluded his resoundingly successful visit to the Czech Republic by topping the timesheets on both days of testing.

His time of 1'57.92 may have been a second slower than yesterday's excursion past
the 1'57 barrier, but it was still nearly half a second quicker than any other member of the MotoGP field under tricky conditions. Stoner was working predominantly on a new fairing for the Ducati Desmosedici GP7.

Only three riders managed to beat their times from Monday, no surprise owing to the wet weather hangover from the evening of the first day of testing which left the track still wet until the early afternoon. Only Anthony West, one of the aforementioned trio, went out in the morning to put in laps on the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR800, joined by team-mate Randy de Puniet and Colin Edwards in bettering his times.

John Hopkins and Chris Vermeulen again impressed for Suzuki over the duration of the test, clocking the second and third fastest times respectively. Their test rider Nobuatsu Aoki had the day off today after testing a new engine spec on Monday. Konica Minolta Honda's Shinya Nakano, Pramac d'Antin stand-in Ivan Silva and Honda test rider Taddy Okada were the other riders to only participate on day one.

Tyre testing was the main order of the day this afternoon, as Dani Pedrosa, Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards worked relentlessly on bringing their Michelins up to speed and Loris Capirossi made strides with the 16” Bridgestone rear, amongst others.
