Stoner to continue with Ducati in 2008
“We are already talking about the future”
After the succesful incorporation of the current MotoGP World Championship leader Casey Stoner into their ranks in 2007, Ducati have secured the services of the talented Australian for next season.

In a statement made after
watching Stoner's magnificent fourth victory of his maiden year with the Italian team last weekend at Catalunya, the 21 year old's father and manager Colin said that "Casey has renewed with Ducati for 2008 and we are already talking about the future. I envisage that by the end of this season we will have something concrete for 2009 and 2010."

"Both parties are happy to continue. We don't want to go anywhere and Ducati don't want Casey to go anywhere”, he added in quotes which were published by an Australian press agency.

Ducati announced the signing of Stoner after the Portuguese Grand Prix last October, with a one year contract including an option on a further year.
Said option has been taken up well ahead of the September deadline, showing Ducati's keen desire to continue the strong relationship between themselves and their young star.
