''My goal isn't to be in the top three''Alvaro Bautista has taken to the 250cc category like a duck to water, with two podium finishes to his name in his quarter litre rookie year.
The Spaniard has also been a key protagonist in the three-way battle for the championship
lead, alongside 2006 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo and runner up Andrea Dovizioso.
The Master Mapfre Aspar rider however, is not getting too carried away. Bautista is refusing to set targets for what he still regards as a learning year in the class.
“I have had some good results, and I'm third in the standings, but my goal isn't to be in the top three. I have to keep on working to take things step by step, learning from the more experienced riders in the category like Lorenzo, Dovizioso or De Angelis”, noted the reigning 125cc World Champion.
