Jordan struggle for Monaco pace
Following productive Free Practice sessions on Thursday, the second day of preparations went on for the Jordan Grand Prix this morning. Tiago Monteiro had a small touch with the barrier, which made him lose part of the final session. The team personnel, however, carried on their programme for qualifying and Sunday’s Race.

Olivier Panis to make race weekend return
As the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix enjoys its traditional Friday off, Panasonic Toyota Racing has announced that Olivier Panis will return to race weekend action during July's French Grand Prix weekend.

Test driver Pedro de la Rosa (Team McLaren Mercedes/Michelin) set fastest lap on the opening day of the Spanish Grand Prix meeting at the Circuit de Catalunya, in the outskirts of Barcelona. Comfortably quickest this morning, the Spaniard improved to 1m 15.062s in the closing moments of this afternoon’s second free practice session.

Bridgestone confident of race pace
The Spanish Grand Prix weekend kicked off today in hot and sunny conditions with Bridgestone’s three teams Ferrari, Jordan and Minardi getting to grips with the now relatively smooth surface of the Circuit de Catalunya. McLaren upbeat despite Montoya off
McLaren Mercedes driver Pedro de la Rosa emerged fastest overall from both of today's practice sessions with times of 1:15.675 and 1:15.062, providing the team with a good basis for the rest of the weekend.

Stoddart happy with Minardi progress

Coulthard encouraged by RB1 pace
Red Bull Racing finished the opening day of practice ahead of Sunday's 66 laps Spanish Grand Prix with David Coulthard and Vitantonio Liuzzi recording the sixth and 15th best times. Former race driver turned Friday test driver Christian Klien lost time due to an electrical issue but the team were happy with its first day of running at Circuit de Catalunya.
