Montoya takes over a day sooner
Juan Pablo Montoya arrived in Valencia this morning to take over driving duties of the MP4-21 from Kimi Raikkonen, who was unable to test today due to a bad cold.

Today at the Valencia circuit
Although Valencia had returned to its usual sunny and warm self by this afternoon, David Coulthard was only able to run on dry weather tyres from around midday onwards. Overnight rain had left the Ricardo Tormo track wet enough for intermediates when the day’s work began.

Second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari, working again today at the Valencia circuit.

Formula One chief Max Mosley has been awarded France's highest decoration, the Legion d'Honneur, for his services to motorsport as President of its ruling body the FIA for the past 12 years.

After 20 years in Formula One
Renault F1 Team President Patrick Faure will retire at the end of 2006.
The Frenchman, who said he turns 60 later this year, informed reporters at the launch of the team's new 'R26' Grand Prix car in Monte Carlo.
