Teams close to testing agreement
Closing in on a 36 day limit
Formula One teams are close to signing an unanimous agreement to voluntarily limit in-season track testing.
According to a report in Germany's specialist Auto Motor Und Sport magazine, five teams' principals have already faxed their signatures, while the other six are likely to soon follow suit.

Grass removed from circuit edge
The FIA's Charlie Whiting has ordered safety revisions to the Malaysian Grand Prix venue.
The permanent Race Director and Safety Delegate inspected Sepang this week, and asked organisers to replace overgrown grass at the track's verge with interlocking bricks, according to the local Star newspaper.

Giancarlo Fisichella has vowed to challenge team-mate Fernando Alonso for the 2006 spoils.
The Roman, speaking at the launch of his GP2 team in Perugia, said the new Renault is much more suited to his driving style.

EC competition concerns
Approval of sale of Formula One to CVC Capital Partners (Alpha Prema) has been delayed, the European Commission has revealed.
The AFX news agency reported that a decision has been put off until March 21st, apparently due to the EC's 'competition concerns', but confirmation of the reasons were not specified.

Ferrari did not get the fine sunny weather they had been hoping for in what was the fourth day of running this week at Mugello.
Rain fell through the morning and the team was unable to complete its planned test programme.
