Bernie Ecclestone casts confusion on British GP plan
No plans to promote the British race
Bernie Ecclestone has confirmed that he is involved in plans to safeguard the future of Britain's Grand Prix at Silverstone.
The F1 supremo told the BBC that he had happily agreed a 'joint venture' with BRDC rebel Harry Stiller, but - in the same interview - confusingly added: “(I have) no agreement with ... Stiller.” ... [ more ]

Michael Schumacher left the Ferrari pits with just four minutes of the one hour opening practice session of the San Marino Grand Prix weekend remaining. As the chequered flag flew, Schumacher vaulted to the top of the timesheets with a best lap of 1:24.751s.

Stoddart's F1 bid turned down
As speculation mounts that David Richards' Prodrive company has been granted a place in the 2008 championship, Paul Stoddart confirmed that his Minardi entry was officially rejected by the FIA.

Strong ticket sales for October race
The second season of A1 Grand Prix has already got off to a flying start, with tickets for the first race in the Netherlands on 1 October, selling quickly.

Williams' Nico Rosberg has confirmed that he is already a hot F1 commodity. Off the back of recent speculation linking him with McLaren Mercedes, the 20-year-old rookie admitted at Imola that - since he debuted in Bahrain - he had been 'the subject of interest from another team'.

Fernando Alonso has counted Honda's Jenson Button out of the running for the 2006 World Championship.
