Raikkonen loses further ground
European GP - McLaren Mercedes - Race
Kimi Raikkonen finished today's 60-lap European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in fourth place. Juan Pablo Montoya had to retire from the race on lap 54 following an engine failure. Both drivers were on two-stop strategies. Raikkonen is now third in the championship with 23 points whilst Montoya is sixth with 15 points.

It was a race of mixed fortunes for Honda in today's European Grand Prix at the Nürburgring in Germany. Rubens Barrichello crossed the line in fifth place to take four Championship points, but Jenson Button's race was brought to a premature conclusion after he suffered an engine failure on lap 29.

Starting 22nd, Nico Rosberg was naturally delighted to end the 60-lap European Grand Prix in a fine sixth position using a very long first stint to move through the field. Team-mate Mark Webber vaulted from 19th on the grid to 12th before he suffered a hydraulic problem and pulled his FW28 off the circuit to retire.

Tonio Liuzzi flat out of luck
European GP - Toro Rosso Cosworth - Race
Tonio Liuzzi's race was over almost as soon as he began as he was tipped into a spin at the first turn by Ralf Schumacher and unfortunately for the Toro Rosso racer, struck David Coulthard eliminating himself and the Red Bull Ferrari driver from the race.
