Routine running for the STR trio
Spanish GP - Toro Rosso Cosworth - Practice
Neel Jani conducted much of the running today for Scuderia Toro Rosso in Spain, recording the 21st best time of the afternoon session. Regular drivers Scott Speed and Tonio Liuzzi were 23rd and 24th fastest.

The first day of running in Barcelona for Williams Cosworth saw test driver Alex Wurz set the third fastest time in the morning session and then the fourth best time in the afternoon. Anthony Davidson set the pace this afternoon at Circuit de Catalunya. The Honda test driver recorded a best lap of 1:16.553s, nearly three-tenths quicker than his nearest challenger. Villeneuve's engine damaged in Germany
Error perhaps not in transit to Barcelona
Jacques Villeneuve has clarified that his engine was damaged after an incident in the Nurburgring paddock, not - as reported - en route to Spain.
Human error was the cause, but it is unclear if the 2.4 litre unit was simply dropped.
