Ferrari called off Felipe Massa's day at Paul Ricard on Thursday because he suffered an engine failure after three installation laps.

Jacques Villeneuve jumped up from third fastest on Wednesday to the top of the timesheets today at Paul Ricard. Using the 1E SC, 5.216km circuit, aimed at replicating the demands of Montreal, the BMW Sauber driver completed 125 laps in his F1.06, recorded a best time of 1:25.379s, fourth tenths ahead of the remaining 11 runners.
