Friday running very different
Jacques Villeneuve has moved to downplay suggestions that BMW Sauber Friday test driver Robert Kubica is shaping up to race in his spot next year.
The young Pole has been singled-out as a star performer of the 2006 season, but World Champion Villeneuve urged a little caution in getting too over-excited about his drives.

Time is running out according to Briatore
Unhappy carmakers are going to be stuck with the engine 'freeze' rule, according to Flavio Briatore.
The Renault principal, who is believed to have actually authored the three-year homologation idea and is backed by Ferrari, predictably did not join the recent vote to axe the '08 regime.

Race begins to find single tyre supplier
Bids to be submitted to the FIA
The race is on to find a single tyre manufacturer from the 2008 Grand Prix season. The FIA on Monday opened the tender process which will end the duopoly enjoyed by Michelin and Bridgestone.

"Bids must be submitted by the deadline of June 23, 2006," the FIA announced on its official website.
