Mercedes slams Midland rumour
A big no from Norbert Haug
Mercedes' Norbert Haug has slammed speculation that the German carmaker could supply F1 privateer MF1 Racing with customer engines next year.
The rumour cropped up at Silverstone, no doubt bolstered by the steadily hardening news that Midland mogul Alex Shnaider's team is set to lose its current Toyota power plants to Williams.

Jacques Villeneuve finished at the top of the time sheets on the second day of testing this week at Monza.
It was a positive day for the BMW Sauber team, with Villeneuve in first place and Nick Heidfeld not far behind in third position. Williams' Nico Rosberg finished second today, sandwiched between the two BMW drivers.

The Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal is very demanding on the brakes, the F1 cars going through successive acceleration – braking zones.
