Giancarlo Fisichella has played down the likelihood that team orders could play a role in the outcome of the Canadian Grand Prix.
Although team orders are not allowed in Formula One, the Roman intimated that his team-mate has a big enough lead in the championship to not require any such support.

Ferrari running out of races
Ross Brawn disagrees with Michael Schumacher's assessment that F1's North American tour is 'not crucial' to Ferrari's 2006 challenge.

McLaren has up to 'three other options' lined up in case Kimi Raikkonen leaves the team according to Mercedes Competition Director Norbert Haug who said in Montreal that they was still hopeful of keeping the 26-year-old Finn for 2007.

Ongoing talks with Toyota
Jarno Trulli has denied rumours that a new three-year contract with Toyota is now done.
But the Italian driver did confess that he is 'close' to putting pen to paper.

Montreal Stewards have thrown out a protest filed by Toyota against Giancarlo Fisichella's second place in qualifying for Renault.
They disagreed that action should be taken after the Roman allegedly blocked Jarno Trulli on a flying lap.

Kovalainen and Red Bull
Rookie to be placed in engine deal
Reports claim that Heikki Kovalainen is certain to line up as a rookie on the Grand Prix grid next year - in a Red Bull Renault.
That is the assertion of Spain's AS newspaper, which said that the current Renault test driver is part of a deal with the French marque for customer engines in 2007.
