Heidfeld's $245k shunt
One very damaged BMW Sauber
BMW Sauber has estimated the damage caused by Nick Heidfeld's frightening shunt at Indianapolis at a cool $245,000 (US) - according to Blick.
As well as smashed bodywork, the main expense is the totally-destroyed wheel suspension, Technical Director Willy Rampf said.
Reportedly, the actual monocoque has been spared.

Jacques Villeneuve has made it clear that he would like to keep racing in F1.

La Gazzetta dello Sport heralded the US Grand Prix winner as the 'King of Indianapolis.

A spokesman for the Hockenheim circuit has reacted with surprise to reports that Mexico and Korea are more likely to feature on the 2009 Formula One calendar.
Imola, Italy's second annual Grand Prix, is also mentioned as a possible victim of the sport's continued thrust into new territories.

Ferrari have not yet signed the so-called 'Indianapolis agreement' - the teams' compromise reached verbally on Sunday to dilute Max Mosley's engine 'freeze'.

Ralf Schumacher is eyeing a switch from Toyota to the Red Bull Racing team, according to reports.

Indianapolis Stewards ruled that the accidents at the start of Sunday's United States Grand Prix required no further action.
But, after the six-car farce of 2005, and despite the fact that only nine cars actually finished this year's event, the race would seem to have been a success.
