Testing resumes at Jerez
Jerez - Tuesday - Testing
Testing got underway today at the Jerez circuit in Spain. McLaren Mercedes, Renault, Williams Cosworth and Honda were all there; in total seven drivers were in action at the Spanish track.
Teams mostly worked on tyre evaluation for the upcoming French Grand Prix at Magny Cours but also spent time testing new components and fine-tuning ... [ more ]
Indy to say 'no' to city's help
For Formula One deal
A spokesman says Indianapolis Motor Speedway CEO Tony George is unlikely to accept an offer from the city's mayor to help keep F1 at the venue.
With Sunday's race marking the last of the current US Grand Prix contract, Indianapolis mayor Bart Peterson vowed to offer assistance - if asked.

German teen to test BMW Sauber
This week at Jerez
Teenage German Sebastian Vettel is to take another step towards Formula One this week.
The slight youngster, who late last year debuted in a Williams and races in the F3 Euroseries, will now take the wheel of a BMW-Sauber as test action kicks of at Jerez.

Honda to get Magny Cours update
A much-needed update to the RA106
Honda hopes to turn around its disappointing recent form with a heavily revised car at Magny Cours.
Team driver Jenson Button, who has not scored a single point in four races, expects to trial the updated RA106 at Jerez this week.

Speculation that McLaren could be bought out by German carmaker Mercedes-Benz has been denied.
Dr Dieter Zetsche, who is CEO of Mercedes' parent company DaimlerChrysler, says there is 'no reason' to go down that route, even though every other works F1 team - Renault, Ferrari, Toyota, BMW Sauber and Honda - is carmaker-owned.
