McLaren disappointed by Montoya affair
They imagined a different result
McLaren-Mercedes was disappointed with the cooperation with departed team driver Juan Pablo Montoya, according to Norbert Haug.

Red Bull's 'hard' stance against Klien

The Red Bull family is maintaining a hard stance in the face of Christian Klien's departure from the team at the end of the 2006 season.
In the statement confirming that Mark Webber is on the way to replace the 23-year-old Austrian, Team Principal Christian Horner thanked Klien for 'all his hard efforts'.

Mario Theissen has now admitted that BMW made an approach to Michael Schumacher about the German joining the team in 2007.

GPMA slam brakes on FIA 'peace'
A bit premature to say it's a final agreement
A GPMA spokesman has slammed the brakes on reports that an FIA announcement on Monday means that peace is now guaranteed in Formula One.
The governing body proclaimed in a statement that the 'FIA and GPMA are now in full agreement about the future' of the sport, after a meeting in Nice to discuss engine rules.

Cristiano continues to make slow but steady progress
Brazil's Cristiano da Matta, who switched back to Champ Car racing after leaving Toyota in 2004, is still in a medical coma following his collision last week with a deer.

His team, 'Rusport', released an update statement on Monday outlining that 32-year-old da Matta had sustained a 'serious head injury'.

After his clash with Heidfeld
Michael Schumacher 'wasted' a chance to further close the gap to Renault's Fernando Alonso at the Hungarian grand prix, according to Italy's Tuttosport.
The sports publication is clearly referring to suggestions that the Ferrari driver was to blame for the clash with Nick Heidfeld that broke his suspension on Sunday.

He is confirmed for Istanbul and Monza
McLaren has confirmed media reports that substitute driver Pedro de la Rosa will remain at the wheel of his McLaren for at least two more races.
"We told him before (Hungary)," managing director Martin Whitmarsh is quoted as saying by AS in Spain.
