Imola's hopes of returning to Formula One in 2007 were dashed on Wednesday when a provisional calendar was published by the FIA.
After the world motor sport council met in Barcelona, a statement explained the still 17-race schedule by revealing that 'no agreement was in place for an eighteenth race'.
