Running the much-unloved RA107 chassis, Alex Wurz made his test debut today in Valencia for the Honda team and duly propped up the bottom of the timesheets.

A record 35,000 spectators turned up today to watch Fernando Alonso and drivers of nine other teams testing.

Managers of the Ricardo Tormo at Cheste, near the eastern city of Valencia, said they had never seen such a crowd for Formula One testing.
