Committee to use proceeds of the McLaren fine
The World Motor Sport Council met in Paris today and appointed the Management Committee for the Motor Sport Safety Development Fund, the body which will distribute the $60 million from the McLaren-Mercedes fine, for the benefit of motor sport worldwide.

Robert Kubica secured second position for the BMW Sauber team today in the Malaysian Grand Prix while team-mate Nick Heidfeld battled hard to finish sixth in the sister F1.08.

After qualifying 15th and 18th both Sebastian Vettel and Sebastien Bourdais faced a tough afternoon in Malaysia.

Bourdais' difficult weekend came to an early conclusion mid-way around the first lap as he spun his Toro Rosso Ferrari into retirement.

McLaren Mercedes drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton finished the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang Circuit in third and fifth positions respectively.
