Malaysia ready to host night race
Calling the FIA to set the lighting standard
Malaysia is ready to host a Grand Prix night race next year, the head of the nation's top international track said Friday, as drivers backed the move.

"Yes, I don't think it is a problem to host night racing in 2008," Mokhzani Mahathir, chairman of the Sepang International Circuit (SIC), told AFP.

Super Aguri Honda concluded its test at the Sepang International Circuit today in more favourable weather conditions. After a technical problem in the engine department caused a two hour delay in the morning, Nick Heidfeld was able to get in some good running in his BMW Sauber, putting in 71 laps and recording a best lap time of 1:37.318s, sixth fastest.

A return for France with Paris in ’09?
Hot on the heels of reports that Bernie Ecclestone is keen to take the French Grand Prix to Paris, it is being reported that Magny Cours will not stage the race as usual in 2008.

The sports daily L'Equipe said on Thursday that logistical problems meant that France would be absent from the schedule next year.
