Bahrain GP - Toro Rosso Ferrari - Qualifying
It was a disappointing showing from the Toro Rosso Ferrari team today in qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix with neither Tonio Liuzzi nor Scott Speed making it beyond the first 15 minute qualifying session.

A Spanish delegation reportedly met with Bernie Ecclestone in the Sakhir paddock on Saturday morning.

They showed Ecclestone detailed plans for the proposed Pinto circuit, located in the southwest of Madrid, according to the newspaper Diario As.

European Grand Prix name to remain
There will not be a 'German Grand Prix' in 2007.

It is being reported in the country's specialist press that the German GP descriptor is actually controlled by organisers of the Hockenheim race, which will not be held this year.

22,000 spectators at Sakhir
Violence in Bahrain
22,000 paying spectators attended the opening day of Formula One action in Bahrain on Friday.

The figure is 6,000 spectators higher than the previous record for a Friday at the Sakhir circuit, set last year.

Circuit officials said more than 30,000 tickets have been sold for Sunday's Grand Prix.
