Narain Karthikeyan Sumar
With backing from the Tata Group and Bharat Petroleum Narain Karthikeyan joins the Formula One circus in 2005 with the Jordan Toyota team. The Indian driver spent some time right on the brink of Formula One, testing back in 20021with Jaguar Racing. A move to the Telefonica World Series followed with five podium finishes in 2003 before becoming a race winner in 2004.
Karthikeyan has proved that he has a great deal of speed in the junior categories and while
many say the Indian racer is a little wild, he should enjoy a season of stability at Jordan in 2005 alongside his new team-mate and Rookie Tiago Monteiro.
