Sepang - Williams Toyota - TestingAlong with nine of its rivals, the Williams Toyota team wrapped up their four-day test today at the Sepang circuit. Nico Rosberg today put in an impressive 103 laps in his FW29 recording a best time of 1:37.002s, good for fourth fastest
on the day.
After poor qualifying pace in Melbourne followed by good race pace, the team have been looking at their qualifying pace in testing and hope that gains can be made in this area next weekend at the Malaysian Grand Prix.
“AT&T Williams completed the four day test in Sepang with another day exceeding 100 laps bringing our total mileage for the four days to just over 2,100km," explained Team Manager Tim Newton.
"Nico worked through a program of set-up changes and cooling system tests in the morning, in the afternoon the rain gave us a chance to try both types of wet tyres and wet to dry set-ups."
"Everyone at the test has been working hard in hot conditions for the whole week, which will pay dividends at next weekend’s race."
