Sepang - Williams Toyota - TestingConditions were hardly ideal for the third day of testing today in Malaysia, but Nico Rosberg was able to put in 71 laps in the changeable conditions, recording a the sixth best time of the day on a 1:37.070s best.
“It rained overnight
so the track was fairly damp this morning, the cloud started to clear but it wasn’t enough to dry out the track before the session started," explained Team Manager Tim Newton. "As such, Nico was able to trial the car in damp conditions, which helped give us some important data for the race."
"While acclimatising to the extreme humidity on his first day of testing, Nico concentrated on brake, aero and cooling tests as well as carrying out systems checks. We were making good progress until the rain came pouring down at 3.30pm which forced us to end the session early. Due to the shortened running time, we will test for an additional day tomorrow.”
